CULTURE
As Director of Lal Bahadur Shastri Centre for Indian Culture, Government of India, promoted Indian Culture through Dance, Music, Yoga and Hindi Language in Tashkent, Samarqand, and various other cities of Uzbekistan. Also Organized groups from Uzbekistan belonging to different fields like dance, art and craft, Indology etc to visit India on various occasions. Awarded the Honorary Doctorate for promotion of Enlightening Relations and Culture with Uzbekistan. Awarded a Certificate of Honour by the Hon'ble Minister of Culture & Sports of Uzbekistan and Chairman of the Council of Friendship Societies for contribution to the activities of the Council in Welfare of the country, Peace in the world and Development of friendly relations between people and Nations through “Public Diplomacy” As General Secretary of Unity International Foundation promoted People-to-people contact between the people of India and the people of China, Singapore, Russia, Bhutan, Nepal, Tunisia, Bulgaria besides other countries.
EDUCATION

Chairman of Board of Governors, Motilal Nehru College, Delhi University (2009-2011). Participated in the process of selection of students from Uzbekistan, who were recommended for Scholarships to study various subjects in various Indian Universities.

As Secretary General of Korfball Federation of India (KFI), a Government of India recognized Sport, promoted the sport in neighboring countries like Uzbekistan, Nepal, Pakistan and Malaysia.

1. UNITY INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION

This NGO aims to promote Universal Brotherhood among the people of India and its Neighboring Countries. Unity International Foundation was started in 1965 with inspiration from Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and later blessed by Dr. Zakir Hussain, then Vice President of India. As General Secretary of UNITY INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION As General Secretary of the foundation, we were regularly organizing programs for cultural promotion between India and other countries like Russia, China, Tunisia, Argentina, Sudan, Bulgaria, Kyrgyzstan, Singapore, Netherlands Bhutan, etc.
The magazine “UNITY INTERNATIONAL”- of which I am a Diplomatic Editor - is a regular feature. Held various programs for promotion of friendship and cultural relations between India and various countries such as Tunisia, Argentina, Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Russia, China and Bhutan. Unity International Foundation has been working untiringly to promote International Harmony and Brotherhood, ever since it was founded, Fifty years ago. Efforts are on to further the ties with many more countries. Goodwill missions have been exchanged with most of the above mentioned countries to strengthen the people to people contact between the nations.

In the past, various goodwill delegations have visited foreign countries on the invitations of various Governments such as that of :
  • China (year 1986, 2004 and 2005)
  • Bhutan (year 1980, 82, 83, 2004 and 2010)
  • Russia (year 1980, 1986, 1990)
  • Mauritius (year 1984)
  • Iraq (year 1980, 2000, 2002)

  • Tunisia (year 2000, 2004)
  • Kyrgyzstan (year 1995)
  • Kazakhstan (year 1998)
The above Countries were visited with an aim to promote our art & culture among the people of these Countries. We have also hosted delegations to India from the following countries: RUSSIA, TUNISIA, KYRGYSTAN, UZBEKISTAN, BHUTAN AND ARGENTINA, besides others
2. GANDHI SMRITI AND DARSHAN SAMITI

As Sr. Coordinator (Programs) organized various seminars and symposiums on “PEACE & NON VIOLENCE”. Also organized a Global convention in the year 2004, with the cooperation of Shri Venkataraman (former President of India), Mr. Richard Weizsaecker (Former President of Indonesia) and Mr. Justice Muhmmad H. Rahman (former Chief Justice of Bangladesh). Held various discussions on matters of Disarmament, Peace, Fight Against Terrorism and Promotion of Universal Brotherhood as well as on the Gandhian Concept of World Peace.

3. KORFBALL FEDERATION OF INDIA (A recognized sports federation by the Govt. of India, with a presence in all the states of India)

As Secretary General, promoted the game of korfball (A mixed gender equality Game being played in more than 60 countries of the world). Regular interaction was held with foreign countries through the Asia-Oceania Championships, World Korfball Championships and others. In the recent past, the game was introduced by us in Nepal, Pakistan, Malaysia and Uzbekistan.

4. RASHTRIYA YUVAK PARISHAD (Having units in most states of India)

As National General Secretary and President (Delhi State) organized various programs on issues like FEMALE FOETICIDE, COMMUNAL HARMONY and many others.

5. SOCIETY FOR COMMUNAL HARMONY (Founded by Late Dr. Bhishamber Nath Pande ji)

As Member of the Governing Body and member of the Steering Committee, organized a National Conference on ‘REGENERATION OF INDIA – ITS IMPERATIVES’, in 1998, which was attended by a galaxy of luminaries from various parts of the globe, who believed in the promotion of Universal Brotherhood and Peace.
